Prison Ministry

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, 'Whom shall I send?  And who will go for us?'   And I said, 'Here am I.  Send me'”  (Isaiah 6:8)
Crossroads Church of Denver has partnered with Behind the Walls Ministry to share the Good News with the “least of these” in jails and prisons.   The mission of Behind the Walls is to assist the church by equipping and igniting Christians to share their faith in Jesus Christ.  They come alongside local churches across the nation, under the authority of their pastors, and train members to share the Gospel using a simple, straightforward tract.  After they have been trained, they take the newly trained volunteers into jails, prisons, and juvenile facilities where they are given multiple opportunities to share the life-transforming message of Jesus Christ.  For the past two years Crossroads Church of Denver has taken a team behind the walls in Canon City and Sterling Colorado to share the good news with the inmates.
  • 2023 - We took a team into the Territorial Correctional Facility in Canon City where over 50 men committed their lives to the Lord.
  • 2024 - We took a team  of 49 people into the Sterling Correctional Facility where 109 men began a relationship with Jesus and 168 rededicated their lives to Him.

If you would like to make a difference for the kingdom of God, join us next year (2025) when we take another team behind the walls by contacting Pastor Adam Gomez.
Outreach Contact:   Pastor Adam Gomez
Adam grew up in the Chaffee Park neighborhood of North Denver.  His teenage years were filled with fist fights, house parties, and heavy alcohol and drug use.  In 1994, he was involved in an alcohol-related car accident that nearly cost his life.  In November of 1995, God dramatically changed his life forever.  Adam now serves as the Senior Pastor of Crossroads Church of Denver and has a heart for the lost and hurting.
