Welcome and thanks for your interest in The Chapel here at Crossroads Church of Denver. This is the perfect place to host an elegant wedding or remember a loved one at a memorial service as well as celebrate new spiritual life at a baptism event. We are located just minutes from Denver in beautiful Wheat Ridge Colorado. The following will give you all the information you need to plan your next special event here at The Chapel.
Entering into the covenant of marriage is one of the most important decisions in life. We want to do everything possible to help couples marrying at Crossroads prepare for a biblical, life-long relationship that will bring them great satisfaction and growth throughout their lives.
Process for getting married at Crossroads
1. Review the wedding guide for the guidelines, policies, and the necessary forms. Couples who desire to be married at Crossroads by one of our pastors must complete our pre-marital course as well as not be living together.
2. Contact Hunter Johnson at firstname.lastname@example.org for facility availability.
3. Your date is secure when we have received your completed application, premarital covenant, technical needs form, deposit, and pastor approval. Once we’ve received these items, you will be contacted by someone here at Crossroads to begin discussing the details of your big day.
The death of a loved one ushers in a cascading well of complex emotions. In the shock of grief, planning a funeral or memorial service to honor, remember, and celebrate loved ones who have passed away can feel overwhelming. Crossroads assists families during these difficult times by providing support, comfort, and help in designing a meaningful memorial service or funeral.
Crossroad’s funeral team offers officiants (pastors) who can help you plan your loved one’s memorial or funeral, and who can lead the service, whether it’s held in The Chapel or another area location. To begin the process of planning your loved one’s service, call (303) 421-3800, and someone will get back to you as soon as possible.
For those seeking to be baptized, Crossroads schedules baptisms at least 3 times throughout the year. During a baptism an individual has the opportunity to share with the their church family their decision to follow Jesus Christ. Baptism is a picture and an illustration – a symbolic act. It illustrates the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ on our behalf and our subsequent faith in Him. It is not necessary for salvation but is strongly associated with salvation as it best illustrates our new identity with Jesus Christ.
When a baptism is scheduled we will announce the date during our main services and attendance at one baptism class is required which are offered 3 weeks before the date of the baptism. At this class we will walk through our Baptism Study Guide helping each person understand what the Bible says about Baptism and it’s importance in our Christian walk.
BAPTISM FOR CHILDREN (8 years and up)
We want to ensure that you and your child fully understand what is involved in getting baptized. We’ve created a booklet that explains what it means to follow Jesus and how baptism is the step that we take after making that commitment. You can get a copy from the Children’s Ministry building or by contacting one of our Children’s Ministry Directors, Deb and Sarah at Children’s Ministry.
This booklet is a resource for parents and it is designed to explain the elements of our faith and belief, yet still gives parents the opportunity to lead their families in spiritual matters. Our hope is to support you in your role of parenting. If you ever have questions or any needs, please let us know.
The Crossroads Child Baptism Booklet is available at the front counter in the Learning Center. Please use this resource with your child in order to help you evaluate whether or not your child is ready to be baptized.
Church wide baptisms are scheduled throughout the year.
