What is Do Life?
Do Life is a new way to connect with others here at Crossroads Church of Denver. These groups are centered around the interests and activities that people already love to do. We’re just encouraging people to enjoy their hobbies and activities with new people here at crossroads so that new relationships can be built. Whether it’s mountain biking or duck hunting, there is something for everyone to get involved in and meet new people and maybe even discover a new hobby or activity you’ve always wanted to try.
What is So different about Do Life?
The majority of our small groups here at Crossroads are centered around a Bible study or a support group that happens in a meeting room. Do Life groups are centered around hobbies and activities and most of them will happen in the beautiful outdoor environment of Colorado
Is this church?
Church according to Jesus is where ever two or more are gathered in his name. That means that church isn’t about a building but it’s about people who get together with common interests and common goals and desire to live their life in fellowship with other people.
Too often we live our lives as creature of habit, spending our time doing the same things with the same small group of people. Do Life groups will help you get involved in new activities and fun groups and encourage you to connect with new people that you otherwise wouldn’t on your own.
If the church is about people, then when you get connected. You will then have oportunities to share your life, both good and bad, with others and hopefully grow in your relationships with others and most importantly your relationship with the Lord.
How do I get involved in a Do Life group?
There are several ways to get involved. Click on back button to the Do Life link where you will see all the different groups we offer and contact the person in charge to see when they are meeting next. You can also go to our Do Life desk in our church lobby and pick up a brochure and sign up for a group right there – someone will contact promptly with information about your group.
Do these groups cost any money?
Some of the groups have a cost if it involves payment to a club or organization that you will be going to (ie. Shooting club or race entrance fee for runners, etc.). In addition, some of the groups require you to have your own equipment (ie. Mt. biking or rock climbing, etc.). Beyond that there is no administrative cost that we are charging.
When do these groups happen?
Many of the groups happen seasonally and have 3 or 4 planned events during those seasons (ie. White water rafting and snow skiing, motorcycle rides, etc). Some of the groups are scheduled for longer sessions (ie. Crossroads Crossfit, Zumba, etc.). All of this information will be communicated on our web page and when you call to talk with the Do Life leader.
